I enjoy walking in the cities that I visit whenever possible. The rock throwing incident in College Station aside, I mostly find it to be an invigorating way to avoid riding the bus and to see as much of the city as possible. In the case of Lafayette, Louisiana, there was little to see, and area that I tried to walk in were about as unfriendly to pedestrians as I have ever experienced. Add to that an ugly theatre with no connection between backstage and the house, and you will pardon me for hoping to never return.
