Years ago when I was visiting Glenn and Kim in West Palm Beach, I drove down to Miami to see a show at the Coconut Grove Playhouse. Since then the playhouse has closed and has been sitting empty. One day when we were playing Miami, Josh and Eric drove down to the Coconut Grove area to get their bows rehaired. I tagged along because I wanted to see what condition the old playhouse was in these days.
The peacocks were Miami's answer to the public art craze like Chicago's Cows on Parade I guess.
Well the Playhouse has seen better days. All the news articles say that there is interest in reopening the theater, but it has yet to happen. Very sad!
