The Chicago Theatre (exterior and lobby)

The one thing I could not wait to do more than anything else when I got to The Chicago Theatre was to pull out my camera. It is such a beautiful theatre, and one that I could not wait to photograph. Sadly given our schedule, I was not able to go crazy like I wanted to, but I got a few decent pictures. I will divide them into two groups. Here is the exterior and the lobby areas:

Sadly, due to the renovation of the other downtown theatres, The Chicago Theatre is no longer used as often. Frankly it could use a bit of renovating itself!

I would have gotten more pictures of the lobby, but the ushers were giving me dirty looks. In fact the one tried to stop me until he saw my Wizard of Oz ID.
