Just when things were looking up, we went to Bakersfield. In fact, we did not even spend the night in Bakersfield. Since it was a one nighter and our next city, Costa Mesa, was close enough, we just drove in, did the show, and left in the same day. I don't think anyone was upset either!
This picture sums up Bakersfield to me. There were more bail bonds places than restaurants.
Our violinist Josh actually grew up in Bakersfield. He took us to this cute little ice cream place.
I walked around a bit before the show, and found this Fox Theatre. Now from what I can tell there must have been two chains of Fox Theatres. There is this one from the west coast, and the one responsible for the Fox Theatres in Atlanta, St. Louis, and Detroit.
Thankfully we were in the theater and not the convention center or arena!
And there you have it. Hi ho the glamorous life!
