My Camera Club Trip

The whole time that I worked at the Woodwind and Brasswind one of my coworkers kept telling that I needed to visit the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids. Well I never made it during those 7 years. As I was researching possible things to do in Grand Rapids, I decided to check the website for the Gardens, and after doing so decided that I needed to take the camera club there. I knew already that it was a big botanical garden with some great sculpture, but they just happened to be having an exhibit of Chihuly glass sculptures. I had previously seen a Chihuly exhibit at the botanical garden in Atlanta and spent a summer sneaking pictuers of the Chihuly pieces at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City so I knew that they were very fun to photograph!

Here is just the tip of the iceburg in terms of my pictures from the Meijer Gardens divided into three categories: Chihuly pieces, Plants, and Other Sculpture.

We had to get up early on Sunday to make our trip work, but I think that my cohorts will agree that it was well worth it!
