After a fun week in Oklahoma City, I went through a week of deja vu. On The Wizard of Oz we had a week where we played Abilene, Amarillo, and Lubbock, TX, and we had the exact same week on Beauty and the Beast.
First up was the most boring of those cities, Abilene. I did get to explore a bit more this time around since I walked to the theatre instead of taking the bus. Sadly my walk did not reveal much that was interesting.
One interesting thing that my walk did reveal was this old Paramount Theatre. I always enjoy stumbling across old theatres.
Sadly we did not play at the Paramount. Our venue was the Abilene Civic Center.
I certainly hope this is the only theatre in existence that is painted black.
