Aural Dammage At The Gammage

I remembered two things about the Gammage Auditorium from my previous visit: the sound in the theatre and pit especially is terrible, and it is impossible to get good pictures inside the theatre.

Neither of those things has changed.

Sure it looks cool from the outside. I am willing to give Frank Lloyd Wright credit for that.

Otherwise the interior of the theatre is drab, dark, and uninteresting.

As for the sound, well it is deafeningly loud in the pit. This may be the loudest pit that I have ever played in so far on tour. Also there is so much wireless interference with the stage microphones, that it probably would have been better to just shut them off. It is sad really because otherwise Tempe is such a fun city!
