It's A Beast Eats Dog World

Originally San Antonio was not a part of our schedule. With all of the uncertainties about Hawaii one of the variables that kept getting mentioned was adding a week in San Antonio. So of course I did a little investigation on the internet, and discovered that the national tour of 101 Dalmatians had closed early and so we inherited their booking in San Antonio. Fine by me! San Antonio is one of those tour cities that I will gladly revisit anytime!

That would be San Antonio himself.

When I was in San Antonio with The Wedding Singer, I had lunch at the revolving restaurant in the Tower Of The Americas. This time I just took a few pictures.

That part of me that is obsessive about seeing old theatres really wanted to get inside the Aztec, but there were no opportunities for me to do so.

As I was walking around I noticed this interesting decoration on a building. I was intrigued by it because it looks really foreign to me. Could this be an influence from Mexico perhaps? I don't know who the guy is either, but he was on two sides of the building.

The big attraction in San Antonio is the Riverwalk. The most popular part of the Riverwalk is a stretch of restaurants and bars that the tourists flock to in hoardes. Thankfully when you have had your fill of Mexican food you can follow the Riverwalk away from the madness and find more serene stretches of the river. (Well except for the occasional tour boat!)

What I did discover about San Antonio from my second visit is that there are really only a handful of things to do. Your options are even more limited if you have just been in Hawaii for 3 weeks and have spent all of your money! Oh well, Six Flags and Sea World will be there the next time I visit.
